 About Kari

I was first introduced to beads by my grandmother and have been fascinated by beads since I was a young girl.

I look back with fond memories (and giggles) to my college days when my budget only allowed me to string seed beads on dental floss!

I have more than 20 years experience beading professionally. I was the creator, owner and operator of The Beadholder in Watkinsville, GA before selling it prior to the birth of my second child.

I took jewelry classes at Stuart’s International School for Jewelers in Jupiter, Florida and at John Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, North Carolina. I worked at Beads & Beyond located in the Seattle area and taught a beading class at Gainesville College, Watkinsville Campus.

I've traveled to the Czech Republic to learn how beads and buttons are made by touring glass, button and seed bead factories. I've sold hand-crafted jewelry in boutiques in three states.
